Position Objective
The objective of this position is to plan and coordinate our content development and publication across all platforms.
Responsibilities & Duties
The primary responsibilities and duties in this role include (not limited to):
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to coordinate content publication across all channels
- Present ideas for regular content “columns” on the blog, etc. (for example, possibly columns such as Trials Skills, Training, Health and Nutrition, Competition Scene, Trials Gear, Bike Maintenance, etc.)
- Perform market research to identify themes and ideas for content topics based on what’s happening around the world in trials, what riders want to know, etc.
- Find trials related causes to support, collaboration opportunities, etc.
- Present content ideas to the founder and the team
- Collaborate with the founder and the team to select content topics and publication timing
- Collaborate with content creators to develop target keywords, hashtags, etc. to help drive traffic to the content
- Find and coordinate guest content creators (e.g., to cover topics for our columns)
- Maintain contact with content creators to help support meeting our planned deadlines
Impact of This Role
With a single content creator (i.e., the founder), this role will help guide where to focus our limited capacity to create the most valuable content. It will also likely guide us in seeking others to join the team or generate guest posts, because we will have a better understanding of what we need and which experts to seek. As the team grows, this role will enable us to develop more content to cover a broader array of themes in a coordinated fashion. Additionally, having a plan will allow us to use our team more efficiently. We’ll have a better picture of what events are coming up around the world and prepare in advance to develop associated content. Most importantly, this role will support growth so that we can provide better value to the trials community.
